Apologetics

A survey of the evidences for the central truths of Christianity: the existence of God, the deity and resurrection of Christ, and the authority and truth of the Bible.

Theological Survey

A general survey of Bible doctrine designed for the "layman" not the theologian. The course revolves around 12 majors areas of study, three per 12 week semester. Courses consist of but are not limited to: the doctrine of man, the doctrine of Satan, the doctrine of the Holy Spirit etc. All course curriculum is based on Wilmington's Guide to the Bible, all materials will be provided.

Teacher Training

This course introduces the student to strategic concepts that are foundational to the teaching-learning process as it relates to the teaching of Scripture. The student will learn how to apply a methodological approach in the preparation, presentation, and evaluation of the teaching of the Scriptures.

American Sign Language I

This course introduces basic vocabulary, numbers, fingerspelling production and reception, as well as word recognition in ASL. Skills related to basic conversational phrases and exchanges in ASL will be developed with a focus on everyday and routine topics. Students will learn the basics so that they can start to reach Deaf individuals within their community with the Gospel. This course is designed for students who have no knowledge of American Sign Language

American Sign Language II

This course expands on the basic principles presented in ASL I. ASL II teaches students to use linguistics features, cultural protocols and core vocabulary to function in basic ASL conversations that include ASL grammar for giving directions, describing, making a request, talking about family, occupations and routines, and attributing qualities to others. This course is designed for students who already have a fund of vocabulary and a basic knowledge of ASL and want to build toward becoming more conversational.
