What if His life was as important as His death?
We know Jesus' death and resurrection saved us, and we study what He taught us through sermons and parables, but what about His life? What can we learn from the life of the only perfect man to ever walk the earth? What if all along He was modeling habits and practices that every Christian should be following?

This second module in the 3-part Like Jesus series will look at the life of Christ and what it means to "walk as Jesus walked" (1 John 2:6) with supplemental films shot in Israel where Jesus walked!

In this 10-week study, you will dive into the life of Christ like never before. Studying not just what He said, but what He did, why He did it, and what that means for you in your context. Discover the six foundational practices that Jesus prioritized and learn how you can implement them in your own life. You'll be amazed at all the new things you will see as you study familiar passages from a new angle.

Jesus modeled for us how to live - with His words, priorities, and relationships.
We'll explore Christ's life and how we can emulate the model He lived.
To make disciples like Jesus, we need to know Jesus.

Sessions:

SESSION 1 | Walk Like Jesus
Big Idea: Jesus fully intended for us to walk as He walked.

SESSION 2 | How Real Is Your Jesus?
Big Idea: In order for Jesus to make atonement for our sin (Heb. 2), He had to become like us in all ways… and by doing so he modeled for us how to walk as He walked.

SESSION 3 | Jesus and the Holy Spirit
Big Idea: Jesus depended upon the Holy Spirit completely and showed us that we must do the same.

SESSION 4 | Praying As Jesus Prayed
Big Idea: Jesus depended upon prayer for daily guidance and in doing so showed us that we must walk as He walked.

SESSION 5 | Obeying as Jesus Obeyed
Big Idea: Jesus obeyed with perfect obedience and modeled for us that we too must learn and grow in obedience.

SESSION 6 | Jesus and the Word of God
Big Idea: Jesus obeyed, submitted to, and respected God’s Word in every area of His life and ministry so that we also would do the same.

SESSION 7 | Exalting the Father
Big Idea: Jesus always exalted His Father in everything and gave us a similar pattern to follow.

SESSION 8 | Intentional Loving Relationship
Big Idea: Jesus devoted His life to intentional loving relationships so that we too would acknowledge the need to do the same.

SESSION 9 | Investing in a Few
Big Idea: Jesus gave us a pattern for investing in a few so we would understand the process of ‘repairing ‘and ‘preparing’ our few for the work of ministry.

SESSION 10 | Jesus and Multiplication
Big Idea: Jesus showed us the power of multiplication to challenge us to ask for and live out a similar lifestyle.

This module will use the HS POWER acronym as explained in the "Walk Like Jesus" study and discussion guide. We will refer to these six priorities as the "foundational priorities" of Jesus.

A majority of churches in America are struggling to make disciples and multiply.
We are now in a day where we can no longer rely on just programs or preaching to make disciples that reproduce.
 
Like Jesus helps you get back to scripture by studying Jesus’ life and ministry and how He made disciples. 
He laid out a pattern and modeled disciple-making for us to follow. 
We can emulate His life and build movements of multiplication. 
That’s what this resource is all about.
